Yup, the workload is meant to be light, and it isn't complete yet. I have to plan this stuff for plotbunny potential and to show it's indeed a Courtesan School.

"But Deniisu," you say, "that's a Finishing School with some sexy bits thrown in!" Yes. That's the joke — the line between a Gentleman and a Whore in Maia is thin indeed.

p.s. I should make a freaking Minato icon for this DW. The sim is already done, I just need some good pics! The mermaid ones do not count because of a lack of glasses :P

Oh, I definitely have full schedules and whatnot made for anything I write that's school/work-shifts/whatnot. (But, I mean, I sometimes have hundreds of pages of notes for internal consistency, lol)

I usually do not make charts and schedules, but I was skimming my already-written chapters and noticed one of the days had six periods instead of five without justification, so I had to Fix It and Make a Chart.

The other thing I have to do is a Hawthorne family tree, but if I do it, it would be posted under a flock for sure - it's spoilery as hell.

Posting excerpts at FFA is a good way to find little things to fix, though! Sometimes my head gets too into big picture / overarching plot mode and I forget to check on the words themselves!

Ah, that makes sense. I've definitely done the 'wait, haven't they had lunch twice now?' thing and had to sit down and schedule out days, etc.

The good thing is that the "one chapter per day to set up the school" part will last until chapter 8 (writing ch7 right now), I think. Then I have more leeway with my structure, letting plot and character dictate it, instead of setting.

Not that there's no plot - starting with ch 4 (already posted on meme), the narrative starts getting denser, despite the larger size (chapters 1~3 are 10 pages avg, 4+ are 15 pages). Characterization and reveals, galore, too.

Also, by ch7 it looks like the first arc is starting to wrap up, ohoho~

YES I KNOW I'M SOUNDING LIKE A BRAGGART but this work is a goddamn miracle by breaking my old 20k upper limit, by myself writing every day (150 words min.), and by having a vague idea of arcs and conflicts, instead of knowing only the beginning and the end :P

Yay! I'm glad it's working for you. I should set some goals like that and try for a few longer thing that keep rolling around in my head (once it's not so hot).
